Who we are
Give My Deposit Back is operated by GiveMyDepositBack. In these terms, "we" means GiveMyDepositBack and "you" means the person using the site.
What the service is and is not
Give My Deposit Back is a self help tool. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Letters restate published law and are sent in your name. We do not guarantee any result. Laws change and may apply differently to your situation.
The site assembles a letter from a fixed template for your state or city and the facts you enter. It does not review your situation, tell you what you are owed, or tell you whether you have a claim.
You are the author and sender
The letter is written in your name and sent from you. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you enter, including names, addresses, dates and amounts, and for deciding whether to send the letter.
Certified Mail orders
Certified Mail delivery costs $21. We print the letter you previewed and send it through our mail provider by USPS Certified Mail.
Refunds. If the mail provider rejects the letter or an address before printing, we refund the full amount automatically and email you. Once the mail provider has accepted the letter for printing, the order cannot be refunded. Delivery times and USPS handling are outside our control.
No guarantee of outcome
We do not guarantee any response from your landlord, any payment, or any other result. Laws change and may apply differently to your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the order that gave rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of FL.
